Supported Independent Living (SIL) is funded support provided by the NDIS to enable someone to live as independently as possible. Support can include assistance with personal cares, meal preparation, transport assistance and assistance with domestic tasks such as laundry and cleaning to name a few. It also allows for a support worker to stay with you overnight in case you need help.

To obtain SIL funding, an assessment and report by a qualified Occupational Therapist is required. The Occupational Therapist will complete thorough Functional Assessment outlining all your needs and supports required to enable you to live as independently as possible.
